RBUF Gas Ultrasonic Flowmeter for Flue Gas

RBUF200 is a gas ultrasonic flowmeter  developed by RB Instruments. Based on the Transit-time principle of ultrasonic wave, one or more pairs of ultrasonic transmitting and receiving devices are installed in the direction of the upstream and upstream of the medium respectively. The gas flow rate in the flue is calculated through the time difference of ultrasonic wave transmission, and the volume flow rate of the flue gas is calculated according to the cross-sectional area of the flue duct. This flowmeter adopts the non-contact measurement method, which can effectively solve the measurement difficulties such as unstable flow field and uneven flow velocity distribution in the pipeline, and can maintain continuous real-time stable monitoring in the harsh environment of high temperature, high humidity and high dust during the flue gas discharge process.

The RBUF200 series ultrasonic flowmeter is primarily used in online continuous monitoring systems for flue gas. It is employed for boiler and chimney flue gas flow rate and velocity detection, as well as for measuring carbon emissions and VOCs emissions from flue gases after treatment. Additionally, it finds applications in industries such as power generation, cogeneration, steel, coking, chemical, cement, glass, and paper, for flow rate measurement. It is suitable for operating conditions with short straight pipe sections and high temperature, low flow rates (5m/s).The model standard RBGF200_XX, where the last two letters represent specific parameters. The first letter indicates the diameter of the flue, with 'S' for small, 'M' for medium, and 'H' for large. The second letter indicates the temperature of the flue, with 'C' for normal and 'H' for high temperature.

Principle

RBUF200 Gas Ultrasonic Flowmeter Working Principle:

The  device   modulates  the   pulse  signals  of  the   ultrasonic  transducer, generating square wave pulse signals of a certain frequency, and boosts them through the circuit board. The pulse signals are then sent to the transmitting transducer  via  corresponding  connecting  cables.  After  the  transmitting transducer emits the signals, they are received by the receiving transducer on the opposite side. Upon reception, the signals undergo amplification, filtering, noise reduction, and extraction processes to refine suitable signals for time difference calculation. Based on the time difference, the velocity of the fluid inside the pipeline can be calculated. The formula for flow rate calculation is as follows:
